Chiropractic Treatment for Neck Pain and Headaches

Neck pain and headaches are common ailments people seek chiropractic care for.

A loss of the cervical curve in the neck, or even a reversed curve, can

  • impair movement (e.g., not being able to turn the head fully to one side)
  • speed up degeneration of joints
  • cause symptoms like pain

Forward or anterior head carriage is common but not normal, especially for office workers and children with poor ergonomics when using electronic devices like laptops and mobile phones.

Excessive strain on the muscles and ligaments of the neck is also associated with headaches and dizziness.

Chiropractors can help you get well and stay well by checking and adjusting your spine and teaching you how to care for your spine.

So you can be the best version of yourself and do the things that you enjoy.

Here is a series of 2-5 minute animations that we have curated so you can understand the link between the two and how chiropractic can help.

Watch what catches your eye, or best yet, watch them all! Remember, becoming more informed helps you make better choices for you and your family.

NECK PAIN. What is the impact of neck pain on your body and function? How can it affect balance and increase the risk of falling?
HEADACHES. Headaches are common but not normal. Studies show that chiropractic care can help reduce the frequency of headaches.
MIGRAINES. We look at a review published in 2019 that looked at all the clinical trials that investigated whether chiropractic care can help people with migraines.
CHIROPRACTIC CARE AND YOUR JAW. The head, neck and jaw are closely linked biomechanically and neurologically so what does this mean for a spinal adjustment?

Neck pain and headaches can have many causes, including an unhealthy cervical spine. At Thrive Chiropractic, we focus on finding, analysing and removing misalignments in the neck and upper back, which when coupled with customised stretches and rehabilitation recommendations, aim to restore range of motion of the head/neck, rebalance upper body muscles and restore a normal cervical curve.
